The G.E.C. Turbine Generators designed turbine generator is a three cylinder impulse/reaction type
driven by superheated steam from the boiler. The turbine will be directly coupled to the generator
capable of generating 300 MW of electrical power at 17 kilovolts.

The boiler is corner fired using residual fuel oil and is an NEI - ICL design.
The boiler in its current state has 16 tilting burners (four per corner)
and will comprise a single furnace compartment with a main and a rear gas pass,
2-bank feed water economiser, six horizontal superheater stages, and a single stage reheater.
Water circulation through the furnace wall tubes will be assisted by electrically
driven circulating pumps (constant speed)
The scope of the purchase this does not include fuel storage facilities, stack,
gas clean up equipment, boiler support steel, cooling water system, switchgear,
valves, economiser pipework, Instrumentation and Control Equipment,
Water Treatment plant, lifting gear and exciter. Within the package limits, however,
the equipment is complete with missing items noted in this report.
